Derek Chauvin’s wife Kellie Chauvin files for divorce
In a developing event of George Floyd killing by police. The main accused police officer Derek Chauvin’s wife Kellie Chauvin has filed for divorce.
A law firm based in Minneapolis, Minnesota named ‘Sekula Law Offices, PLLC’ which is hired by Kellie Chauvin issued a statement on their Facebook page which read:
This evening, I spoke with Kellie Chauvin and her family. She is devastated by Mr. Floyd’s death and her utmost sympathy lies with his family, with his loved ones and with everyone who is grieving this tragedy. She has filed for dissolution of her marriage to Derek Chauvin. While Ms. Chauvin has no children from her current marriage, she respectfully requests that her children, her elder parents, and her extended family be given safety and privacy during this difficult time.

The law firm is lead and run by Amanda who is a divorce lawyer in Minnesota.
They requested that Kellie is devastated by George Floyd’s death and her sympathy lies with his family and loved ones. She has filed for dissolution of her marriage with Derek Chauvin who is now suspended from the police department.
The couple does not have children together while Kellie has two children from her past marriage.
Further in the statement they requested to give her family privacy and safety.
